Introductory Discussion: How did the above video make you feel about communication in Today's world?
Constructing your website Creating a website is a fairly simple process with the technology available today. You may use any website builder/format that you wish. As long as everyone in your group is comfortable using it. If members of your group consider yourselves "beginners", then I recommend using weebly and here is a link to the tutorial section of the website. You may use any resource to create your website. Today, I want your group to focus on creating the front page of your website. Consider what health issues you would like to address in your website (e.g. malnutrition, sleep deprivation, eating disorders, substance abuse, etc.). Once your group has planned out what goals you wish to accomplish with your website, then you may begin. The goal for today will be to complete a Home page and Opening page that describes your groups goals for this project. Remember to allow all group members to provide their input! Distribute the workload equally and communicate with each other! Have fun and show the internet what you can do! Goals for the day 1) Choose a website creator. 2) Create a title page and title for your website. 3) Post a video, animation, or link to a web resource that summarizes anatomy and physiology. 4) Summarize your group's goal for this website. What health issues do you wish to educate young people about? Why do you believe it is important for young people to learn about anatomy and physiology? 5) Post a link to an article that relates to a health topic you wish to address. (e.g. increase in addiction to over the counter pain meds in young adults). 6) Send the url of your website to Mr. C. (you may email it!) |
(I just posted the video above because I think it effectively explains the power of communication. Feel free to view it in your spare time.)
